Founded by Matthew Gloag in Perthshire, who made the first batch of Grouse whisky in 1896. Originally named ‘The Grouse’ in tribute to Perthshire’s famous bird, it was Matthew’s daughter Phillipa who drew the original Grouse on the bottle.
